The Busey Bank Rotary Criterium Festival

The Busey Bank Edwardsville Rotary Criterium is a series of high-speed professional and amateur bicycle races complimented by a running event, free kid’s races, a kid’s zone with an art tent, an entertainment zone complete with live music, food and beverages, and an open container perimeter, all on the streets of Downtown Edwardsville.

This unique signature event has been hosted by the Edwardsville Rotary Club since 2010 as a fund-raiser for community enhancing projects and as a gift to the people in the Edwardsville area. Because Edwardsville is a bicycling and running city that loves big events and opportunities to show off our Downtown, the Criterium is a perfect fit.

Event sanctioned by the USA Cycling Association and the Missouri Bicycle Racing Association (MOBRA).

The Entertainment Zone will be located on St. Louis Street between 2nd Street and N. Main Street.

The Taste of Town

In addition to the great restaurants, cafes and bars in Edwardsville’s Downtown, there will be food trucks in the Entertainment Zone. Ice cold beverages, donuts, and cold treats will also be provided.

Live Music

Hunter Sharp performs at noon, Mike Sonderegger performs at 3PM, and Borderline performs at 7PM. Live music sponsored by Hortica.

Location

The Kids Zone, sponsored by the Revity Credit Union, will be located next to the Wildey Theatre. Bathrooms & AC available in the Wildey Theatre.

Free Art Tent

Kids and families are invited to show off their creative side by coloring their own wooden bike! This will be open from 2:00PM to 6:00PM (while supplies last). Supplies donated by the Edwardsville Art Center.

Free Helmet Fitting & Giveaway

Edwardsville Township is pleased to host the GlennonKids Safety Program from SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center. The GlennonKids’ Safety Program will offer free bicycle helmet fittings to children ages 2 to 18. Staff from Cardinal Glennon will teach parents how to correctly fit their children’s helmets and children without helmets may receive one for free while supplies last.

Free Ice Cream, Root Beer Floats, and Games

Free ice cream will be provided by Prarie Farms. Free root beer while supplies last. Additionally, a myriad of games will be made available for children by the Boy Scouts of America & Edwardsville YMCA.
